Tonight’s interview is with Charlie Greene, the Brewers’ minor league field coordinator and catching instructor who is also filling in for Mike Guerrero as Sounds manager this series while Guerrero attends to a personal matter. Greene discusses his role with the Brewers, the Brewers’ catchers in the major leagues and Triple-A, filling in as a manger compared to his normal role, how some other Brewers affiliates are doing and, as a former major league catcher, whether he thinks catchers are viewed and scouted differently today than years ago.

Today’s interview is with the Sounds’ starter and winner from Saturday night, Zach Kroenke. The southpaw discusses his and the team’s rough start to the season, his solid outing last night (6 1/3 shutout innings), his first season in the Brewers system having signed as a minor league free agent in November, and his years with the D’Backs and pitching at hitter-friendly Reno.

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds catcher Blake Lalli, who rejoined the team Thursday after being optioned by the Brewers. Lalli discusses his time in the big leagues with the Brewers, his first-ever call-up last year when he was with the Cubs, the transition to feeling comfortable in the major leagues, his experiences in playing three consecutive full seasons at Double-A for the Cubs and his current role as both a catcher and first baseman.

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-hander Johnny Hellweg, who discusses his and the team’s victory last night, his continuing work in repeating his delivery after growing to 6’9″ after being drafted at 6’4″, how playing soccer in high school helped his baseball career and where he was last year when he found out he’d been traded from the Angels to the Brewers in the Zack Greinke deal.
