Tonight’s interview is with Sounds reliever Brandon Kintzler, who worked two scoreless innings in Monday’s Sounds victory and has given up just two runs in 7 2/3 innings since coming up from Double-A Huntsville. Kintlzer, who is working his way back from a stress fracture in his right forearm that required surgery last year, discusses his road back, his major league debut in ’10 for Milwaukee, his 2 1/2 seasons of Independent League ball (’07-’09) and his thoughts about the upcoming off-season and being a minor league free agent.

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-handed starter Brian Baker (@TheBakeShow14), who is near the end of his first year in the Brewers system after seven with Tampa Bay (much discussed in this interview with Baker from late May). In this chat, Baker discusses his outing (5ip, 2r, ND) on Wednesday night in Round Rock, the nice run of starts he’s put together lately, what it’s typically like for minor league free agents during an off-season and his chances of re-signing with Milwaukee, his thoughts about the Pacific Coast League ballparks and cities compared to the other Triple-A league, the International League, and his ever-entertaining friendship with teammate Eric “The Kid” Farris (@eRoc86), who refers to Baker as “Show” or “The Show.”

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-hander Claudio Vargas, who discusses his masterpiece (8ip, 2h, 7k) victory Monday night in Omaha, his season to this point (6-1, 3.58, 18 starts), the dangerous Omaha lineup that he kept in check, working with catcher and fellow veteran Humberto Quintero and what’s in store for Vargas the remainder of the season and next year.

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds reliever Jesus Sanchez, who picked up the victory Thursday night in the Sounds’ extra-inning win, which arrived just before a massive thunderstorm. Sanchez, who is 7-2 with a 1.43 ERA and 11 saves in 46 games this season between Double-A Huntsville and the Sounds, discusses his campaign to this point, his transition this year to full-time relief and his earlier days in pro ball when he was a hitter in the Yankees’ and later Phillies’ systems before taking to the mound in ’08 and joining the Brewers organization prior to last season.

Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-hander Hiram Burgos, who posted his second straight quality start on Tuesday night (7ip, 2er) and third in his four outings since joining the Sounds in late July. As of today, Burgos is 8-3 with a 2.01 ERA in 24 games this season between High-A Brevard County, Double-A Huntsville and the Sounds. He discusses his season to this point, working with pitching coach Fred Dabney again (they were together at Brevard County in ’11), what adjustments he’s made the past couple of years, who’s had the biggest influence on him as a pitcher, and his amateur days at the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and Bethune-Cookman College (Fla.).
